I don't know why, but I absolutely love listening to video game OST's.
Post about you favourite video game music here. Feel free to post youtubes with examples.
Some of my fav's include:
Jet Force Gemini - Amazing orchestral compilation with modern touches; all in all a very triumphant and awesome soundtrack
Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl - Pretty self explanitory; the remixes of older soundtracks are just fantastic.
Earthbound - I don't know why, but the soundtrack of this just reminds me of a very good day.
Metroid Prime - By far my most favourable soundtrack. It's the most relaxing soundtrack I've ever come across, not to mention the sounds within it is just purely artistic.
Yoshi's Island - So different, almost childlike, yet it's got something in it (can't point it out) that makes me love it.
Kirby 64 - My second most favourable of all soundtracks (closely on par with Jet Force Gemini). This soundtrack is just wonderful for taking my mind of where I am, and putting me somewhere else. For example, "Pop Star" (after playing K64 for the imagery) takes me to a place inside my head where all I can see is things inside of the Pop Star stage. I like.
Metroid Fusion - My favourite of all GBA soundtracks.
Extreme G - It's awesome high quality trance, but it was made for Nintendo 64 probably one of the first games to do that.
Banjo Kazooie and Tooie - For the same reasons I love Kirby 64 plus because the sounds are just wonderfully comiled with so many other elements to give the effective visual interface in the back of your mind (for instance, birds chirping and bees buzzing when it's supposed to remind you of summer).
That's Basically it for my top charts. What about you?
